RAF Exeter Town Show: A Weekend of Discovery and Excitement

The Royal Air Force is in Exeter on 4–5 April, bringing a free, action-packed family event to Exeter Cathedral Green from 09:00 to 16:30 each day.

This two-day spectacle offers hands-on experiences for all ages, designed to entertain, educate, and inspire the whole community.

Climb into a Typhoon cockpit, test your speed in high-energy sports challenges, and try your hand at real-life rescue skills in our Survival Challenge.

Learn CPR and First Aid in expert-led workshops, explore science and tech with the RAF’s STEM team, and meet serving personnel to hear real stories from RAF life.

Live music from the RAF band will set the tone, with opportunities to try the drums yourself. Whether you're an aviation fan or looking for a great family day out, there’s something for everyone.

There is no need to book – just turn up and enjoy.

List of candidates published ahead of Exeter local elections 2025

The list of candidates standing in Exeter for the local elections on Thursday 1 May has now been published. 

Voters will be electing representatives for the Devon County Council and in Exeter City Council by-elections. Full details of all those standing are available to view online: 

• Devon County Council election: exeter.gov.uk/2025-devon-county-election
• City Council by-elections: exeter.gov.uk/2025-city-by-elections 

Polling stations will be open across the city from 7am to 10pm on election day. 

Make sure you are ready to vote in Exeter on 1 May
People are being asked to ensure they are ready to vote in the local elections in May.

Aled Jones - Full Circle at Exeter Corn Exchange

Prepare to hear Aled Jones as you’ve never heard him before.

He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice. Selling over seven million albums, Aled was the original, classical crossover star. His recording of Walking in the Air, from the animated film The Snowman, firmly established him as a household name and he has become an integral part of the nation's festivities.

Equally at home on the classical stage, or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, his credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

As a singer, Aled is in demand globally and has performed in the world's most iconic venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to the Sydney Opera House. A favourite with the Royal Family, he even gave a private performance to King Charles III in Kensington Palace.
