Exeter is one of the best performing cities in the country for economic growth, according to an influential new report.

PwC’s Good Growth for Cities Index ranks 50 of the UK’s largest cities based on the public's assessment of 12 economic measures, including jobs, health, income, safety and skills, as well as work-life balance, housing, travel-to-work times, income equality, high street shops, environment and business start-ups.

Prestigious British Science Festival is heading to Exeter

The prestigious British Science Festival will be held in Exeter over four days in September.

Organised by the British Science Association (BSA), Europe’s longest standing science festival travels to a different place in the UK each year and celebrates the people, stories and ideas at the heart of science.

The British Science Festival 2023 will be hosted by the University of Exeter. The festival will be held between Thursday 7 and Sunday 10 September, with events being held on the University’s campus, as well as at venues across the city.

There will be a host of free activities including talks, workshops and drop-in events on offer for visitors from Exeter and beyond to attend.

Celebrating the 192nd anniversary of the festival, and working in partnership with the University, the BSA will bring its flagship event to the South West for the first time since 2004, when it was last hosted by the University of Exeter.
