 New bin collection calendars
New bin collection calendars available in Exeter
New online bin collection calendars are now available in Exeter and there are important changes to how collections are carried out following bank holidays, the City Council has announced.
Exeter City Council has released the domestic bin collection calendars for March 2023 to March 2024.
Collections will now take place one day late for all Exeter households following a bank holiday Monday.
For more than a decade, the City Council operated a system whereby bin collections due on a bank holiday Monday shifted to the following Saturday, enabling collections due on the other days to remain unchanged.

Fancy becoming a volunteer – get yourself along to the volunteer fayre
Anyone looking for volunteering opportunities is being urged to get along to Exeter’s biggest volunteer fayre at the end of March.
The volunteer fayre is expected to be bigger and better than ever!
Exeter’s Volunteer Fayre takes place at Exeter Cathedral on Thursday 23 March, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Organisers expect the fayre to attract up to 400 visitors, double the number that attended last year.
It will bring together voluntary groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations all of which are looking to recruit new volunteers.
Entry to the Fayre is free and visitors will have the chance to find out more about the organisations exhibiting and the volunteering opportunities on offer.
