This talk by Dr
Kent Fedorowich focuses on the efforts of the Canadian newspaper publisher and
business tycoon, Sir Max Aitken (later Lord Beaverbrook), self-appointed
‘official eye witness’ of Canada’s military achievements in the First World
War.

Visitors can watch conservator Seonaid Wood as she conserves one of
RAMM's largest paintings, Lucy Kemp-Welch's In Sight - Lord Dundonald’s Dash on
Ladysmith, for exhibition later in the year. Volunteers will be on hand to
explain conservation techniques and processes.

In 2018, the year that marked the 100th anniversary since some women got
the vote in the UK, and when #MeToo shook the world, we have brought together
artists, writers, politicians, comedians, activists and more for the 2nd annual
WOW Exeter at RAMM, Exeter Phoenix and Exeter Library.

jugs to still life paintings.

Explore far-future civilisations and adventures in this talk and Q&A with author Philip Reevewith. As part of the Exetreme Imagination Festival, Philip will talk about his work developing both the Mortal Engines and Railhead Series.
This event will focus on Philip’s work for older children and teenagers.

A practical drama workshop focusing on the themes and characters found in Meg Rosoff's award-winning young adult novel How I Live Now.
Held in partnership with Exeter Northcott Theatre and Exetreme Imagination Festival.

An exciting chance to take part in a British Sign Language storytelling
workshop, suitable for all ages, offered in both BSL and English. It
is accessible for all, whether or not you know any sign language - you will by
the end! Part of the Exetreme Imagination Festival.

Child iconography from the 17th to the 20th Century. Before the Enlightenment, children in art appeared as miniature adults. Includes Age of Innocence by Joshua Reynolds, on loan from Plymouth City Museum.

Selected from a personal collection of 160 skirt lifters spanning three centuries, these objects combine the decorative tastes of the day with a functional solution to the problems posed by voluminous skirts.

Internationally-acclaimed artist, sculptor, writer and film-maker Bedwyr Williams brings his surreal sense of humour to bear on RAMM's Queen Street foyer. After decades of being examined in glass showcases, the objects will have a chance to get their own back by studying the visitors.
