Mike and Marj Harman have donated the F.J. Widgery watercolour The Moors, West Tavy Cleave, Dartmoor to RAMM. They travelled over 5,000miles from their home in America to present the work.

As the royal wedding approaches, Shelley Tobin, RAMM’s Curator of Costume, has been looking into the customs and dress of brides over the last two centuries and preparing a selection of items from the reserve collections to go the Devon County Show 2018.

Download the map and visit the Roman city of Exeter with Minecraft. Experience the city in the 5th-century AD at end of the Roman Empire. Walk where the Romans went and enter their fine buildings. The map includes links to Roman objects excavated in the city. Players can use these to find out more about the objects in the game.

Children’s book illustrator Victoria Byron has created a new book especially for RAMM’s 150th anniversary. Alfie is a sparrow who sits amongst the other birds in the gallery. One night, when the visitors have all left, something magical happens: the museum comes alive and Alfie goes exploring.
