      From America with love – Widgery watercolour wings its way home

      Mike and Marj Harman have donated the F.J. Widgery watercolour The Moors, West Tavy Cleave, Dartmoor to RAMM. They travelled over 5,000miles from their home in America to present the work.

      5th-century Roman Exeter in Minecraft

      Explore the Roman City of Exeter in Minecraft

      Download the map and visit the Roman city of Exeter with Minecraft. Experience the city in the 5th-century AD at end of the Roman Empire. Walk where the Romans went and enter their fine buildings. The map includes links to Roman objects excavated in the city. Players can use these to find out more about the objects in the game.

      Dr Tristram Hunt, director of the V&A, discusses how the V&A’s founding commitment to art, education and industry continues to define the museum today. In a time of Brexit, Netflix and artificial intelligence, he sets out some of the challenges and opportunities that the museum world now faces. In association with Art Fund Devon Fundraising Committee.

      Pop Art in Print

      Vibrant, sexy and very much of the moment, Pop Art reflected a fascination with the iconic status of celebrities and brands. Pop artists recognised the potential of prints to communicate ideas quickly and cheaply, creating art which both mirrored and critiqued the American Dream.       Children’s book illustrator Victoria Byron has created a new book especially for RAMM’s 150th anniversary. Alfie is a sparrow who sits amongst the other birds in the gallery. One night, when the visitors have all left, something magical happens: the museum comes alive and Alfie goes exploring.
