Eastbourne Mardi Gras

Eastbourne Mardi Gras is taking place on Saturday 22 July.  It is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate diversity and families.  The organiser, BourneOut LGBT, invites everyone to join in.

The parade will start at 1pm at Eastbourne Waterworks, Langney Point Car Park on Prince William Parade.  The parade will pass along the promenade to the car park at the side of Fort Fun where it will cross Royal Parade and continue into Princes Park.

The celebration will continue in Princes Park from 2pm until 9pm.  There are a range of acts and performers, LGBT celebrity Peter Tatchell will open the event, a dance tent will feature a range of local well known DJ’s, food stalls, information and awareness stalls, local produce stalls and childrens entertainers.   

At 9pm there is an 18years+ late night party in Atlantis on Eastbourne Pier.  The entry cost is £2 per person.

Flying the flag

The Town Hall will be flying the rainbow flag over the weekend in support of the event and the LGBT community.
