Introducing Peter...
My name is Peter Sharp and I’m head of Public Protection for Police Scotland in Ayrshire. I joined the Police in 2001 and have worked for the vast majority of my service in every area across Greater Glasgow covering Crime, Intelligence and Public Protection.
Before moving to Ayrshire Division in January 2024 I performed a role within the Major Crime arena covering homicide, firearms and large scale investigations.
What I do...
I’m an Ayrshire boy, brought up and still living in Kilmarnock so I am delighted and privileged to hold the role of Detective Superintendent for Ayrshire Division.
I am responsible for all crime, intelligence and public protection matters. This is a broad and wide ranging role and includes working closely with all partners across the region delivering services to the communities of Ayrshire.
When I'm not working...
I have two adult children. One is starting and the other finishing university. In my spare time I enjoy playing Football and Golf and spending time with family.
