Maths Week Scotland
This year's Maths Week Scotland takes place 25 September - 1 October. The theme this year is Maths in Motion. The Maths Week website shares ideas for learners at all stages and lots of encouragement to get outdoors.
We can find Maths in Motion in the outdoor places and spaces all around us and you can challenge pupils to find it. Once you start looking, you will realise that you can see Maths everywhere!!

Outdoor Classroom Day
Outdoor Classroom Day is coming around again!! This twice yearly event is happening on Thursday 2 November 2023 and teachers are encouraged to take children outdoors on this day to play and learn.

The Royal Horticultural Society have recently renewed the criteria for their School Gardening Awards. These free awards provide a multi levelled structure to develop gardening through the curriculum, with rewards and celebration available at each level.
Target 2030: A movement for people, planet and prosperity is a new action plan launched by the Scottish Government. It places sustainability at the centre of the Scottish education system, including an ambitious commitment ensuring that every school and early learning setting will be sustainable by 2030. There are commitments made to outdoor learning, with recognition of the importance and benefits of outdoor learning appearing throughout.
