Today (25 September 2025) we have started a consultation on changing the maximum service fee that authorised testing facilities (ATFs) can charge you to have your vehicles annual test.  

Give your feedback on the proposed changes. 

The survey will ask: 

• what your role is  

• if you agree with the principle behind a fee increase and if you agree with the proposals  

• how you feel it would impact your work 

The maximum that ATFs have been able to charge for pit fees has remained the same since 2010, so we feel it is important to review these fees through consultation with the wider industry. 

The consultation will close on Friday 21 November.
