From 1 February 2025, DVSA will no longer carry out driving tests at Hither Green driving test centre (DTC).
Why Hither Green is closing
We have identified a number of issues affecting the safety and quality of driving tests at Hither Green, due to inadequate road environments, logistical constraints and repetitive routes.
The closure will not result in any test appointments being cancelled and we will move all tests already booked from 1 February 2025 to nearby local test centres, including Bromley.
We strongly encourage learners to drive on a variety of different roads and not just near to the location where a test centre is based.
Let your pupils know
All tests due to take place before 1 February will take place at Hither Green as planned.
We are contacting candidates with tests already booked from 1 February to let them know where their test will take place. If you have booked a test on behalf of your pupil you need to make them aware of the change.
