There are some changes taking effect in the M2 and M3 individual vehicle approval (IVA) inspection manual from 15 April 2024.

In Version 14 of the M2 & M3 IVA Inspection Manual, changes have been made to the following sections:

We've highlighted a few of the key updates below:

Fuel Tanks: documentary evidence now required for hydrogen fuel tanks & system.

Installation of Lights: revised diagrams to clarify the 'view to the front' and 'view to the rear' of vehicles.

Tyres: inclusion of requirements for re-treaded tyres.

Masses and Dimensions: radar devices added to width and length exemptions (e.g.: blind-spot sensors, etc.); 'zero-emission vehicles’ weight allowances added.

Markings: pictograms acceptable as emergency exit markings.
