Today, the enforcement quarterly data from Q3 2019-20 to Q3 2021-22 has been published on GOV.UK.
The data shows how many vehicles were stopped in each quarter, what defects we found, the frequency of drivers’ hours offences and the rate of prohibitions.
The statistics highlight the most common defects DVSA encounters at the roadside. Although the majority of you are getting this right, these are also a snapshot of the main areas where some operators need to improve, by strengthening their regular maintenance and driver management regimes.
Our Director of Enforcement, Marian Kitson, has written a blog post reflecting on the data we have published today, which you can read via Moving On.
