The theory test centre in Bristol at Crescent House, Temple Back is closing and the site will not reopen for testing on 12 April when theory testing in England restarts.
Pearson VUE who carry out theory testing on behalf of DVSA have found a new site at the Bristol Business Park next to the University of the West of England in Stoke Gifford.
Unfortunately, DVSA has recently been made aware of delays in the construction of the new test centre, which means opening has to be delayed until mid-May.
This means that there will regrettably be a gap in service provision in Bristol from 12 April until mid-May and affected theory tests will need to be re-booked.
We’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused and theory test providers Pearson VUE are working to resolve these issues and restart testing in Bristol as soon as possible.
We will email all candidates affected by this to let them know they need to rebook their theory test at a new location. We will be making additional test slots available on 10 April at 7am for the next few weeks at nearby test centres in:
- Swindon
- Gloucester
- Cheltenham
- Frome
Alternatively, if candidates prefer to stay local they will be able to book a test at the new Bristol test centre once it is open in mid-May. We will write to affected candidates again before the new Bristol centre opens to give advanced notice of these tests being available to book.
