Helping you promote vehicle safety checks to your customers who need to drive

Over the next few months, we know you’re likely to see fewer MOT tests being booked by your customers. This is because of the MOT exemptions issued in 2020.

So to help, we’re launching a vehicle safety campaign today. We’re focusing on the basic checks motorists can do if they need to drive more often for essential journeys.

As part of this, we’re recommending they come to you for a service or health check if they are not sure about anything.

Use our toolkit to reach out to your customers

Last year, we developed a toolkit to help you reach out to customers so they could ‘Beat the Rush’ for MOT tests in the autumn.

We saw lots of you use the toolkit to contact motorists and encourage them to get a test early. 20,000 extra MOTs happened every day during the campaign.

Our latest toolkit offers ways to promote a service or health check to your customers, in connection with our ‘Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE’ campaign.

Research we’ve carried out during the pandemic shows 95% of MOT customers trust you.

Offering them peace of mind through a service or health check, if they need to get back on the road, could help you to fill the shortfall in MOT work.
