Today (6 July), we reopened the trainer booking service for vocational and motorcycle tests, in England.
Driving instruction and testing in Scotland and Wales, other than for critical workers, have not yet been able to restart following the advice of Scottish and Welsh governments.
Booking tests using the online business service
You must not book tests via the online business service (OBS), you should use the trainer booking service.
OBS was reopened at the same time as the trainer booking service so that our deployment team can start rescheduling our examiners test programmes.
We will let you know when you can start using the online business service again to book tests.
Cancelling unauthorised bookings
We will be cancelling and refunding any tests booked today using the online business service, instead of the trainer booking service.
We’ll be monitoring the use of the online business service to make sure business or training schools do not break these rules or use the system unfairly.
If tests continue to be booked via the service after today, firm action will be taken which many include suspension from the trainer booking service and the online business service.
