We are restarting testing for heavy vehicles from 4 July.
To provide certainty to operators, we have issued a 3-month exemption to all vehicles due for annual test in July.
ADR inspections will restart on 4 July.
If your vehicle has a 3-month test exemption and you get it tested early, you will need to get an ADR inspection.
If you do not get your vehicle tested, you will need to apply for an ADR inspection waiver. The waiver can only be used where a test exemption is in force.
Dangerous goods should not be carried where an ADR inspection has expired and there is no waiver in force for the journey.
We have asked ATFs to prioritise and take bookings for ADR inspections, even if an annual test exemption has been issued.
Contact your nearest ATF to discuss your requirements.
If you experience any difficulties getting an inspection, please email us at retrokeyteam@dvsa.gov.uk
