We’d like to remind you about the type of authorised testing facility (ATF) you should use if you’re transporting dangerous or hazardous goods.
You must always present a dangerous goods vehicle certification form (VTG15) form with the vehicle for these loads, to prove your vehicle meets legal requirements.
What to take to a green ATF
If your vehicle is declared purged and safe for inspection, you should take your vehicle to a green ATF, as there are more of them.
What to take to an amber ATF
If your vehicle is not declared purged and has transported certain ‘UN’ products, you should take your vehicle to an amber ATF.
You can take the 'UN' substances listed here to amber sites under certain control measures.
What to take to a red ATF
Any vehicle carrying dangerous substances not listed in the amber guidance must go to a red ATF.
