Safety alert: testing vehicles with an electronic gearbox

Vehicles with an electronic gearbox don’t have a ‘P’ location on the gear selector, for example, the Citroën C4.

When testing these vehicles, you must apply the brake at all times when the engine is running.

If the drive modes ‘R', 'A' or 'M’ are selected, the electronic parking brake will disengage automatically as soon as the accelerator is pressed.

This can cause the vehicle to move forward and come off the ramp.
