 The International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation is on 6 February, 2025. FGM is illegal in the UK. It’s also illegal to take a British national or permanent resident abroad for FGM, or to help someone trying to do this.

Illegal tobacco trader jailed
A shop trader who sold illegal tobacco with four other men has been jailed for 34 months following a case brought by Dudley Council’s Trading Standards.
