Bank Holiday Opening Hours |

A national bank holiday has been announced for Monday 19 September to coincide with the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Some council services will be closed on this date as a mark of respect to Her Majesty. |

Bin and Recycling Collections
Refuse, recycling and green waste collections will not take place on Monday. Collections from Monday will take place on Tuesday with all rounds scheduled to be collected a day later than normal. Friday’s usual collections will be made on Saturday to ensure all waste is collected by the end of the week.

Waste Disposal
The Household Waste Recycling Centre (tip) at Stourbridge will be closed on Monday, but bookings remain open for the rest of the week.

Dudley Council Plus will be closed on Monday, although the out-of-hours team can be contacted in case of emergencies. Our most popular self-service forms are available online.

Attractions and Leisure Centres
All of our borough leisure centres, The Dell Stadium, Red House Glass Cone, Dudley Museum, Dudley Archives, Dudley Borough Halls and Himley Hall will be closed on Monday. Himley Park will remain open.

All libraries in Dudley borough will be closed on Monday.

Our Thanksgiving Service
A service of thanksgiving will be held on Sunday evening at St Thomas and St Luke’s (Top Church) in Dudley in honour of The Queen.

Books of Condolence
Due to site closures, books of condolence will be unavailable on Monday. Residents can leave written tributes to Her Majesty until Tuesday at 5pm.

Battle of Britain Wreaths
Although there is no parade this year, residents are invited to lay wreaths at the cenotaph in Coronation Gardens on Sunday at 11am to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
