Dudley Zoo and Castle Under 5's picnic party will take place on Wednesday 29 & Thursday 30 June from 10am until 2pm. There will be lots of family friendly entertainment and activities including Jambi the Tiger, Animal Encounters, children's entertainer 'Flip the Clown', Jubilee themed craft activities and 'Ow Bin Ya Sands' to mention just a few. Armed Forces Day at Himley Hall and Park on Sunday 26 June, 11am - 5pm. Join us to celebrate the work of our armed forces, past and present at our free event. There’s entertainment for all the family including Wings Parachute Display Team, a flypast by RAF BBMF Lancaster, All About Swing dance taster sessions and Lily & Lolly’s Vintage & Craft Fayre, along with fairground rides and food stalls and much more.

Lots of craft activities taking place from Saturday 28 May to Sunday 5 June including decorate a souvenir plate. A street party will take place from 11.30am onwards with a grand Jubilee parade from 1.30pm. The school room will move into the 1950's for the first time to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Coronation and Head of the Commonwealth. How well do you know your flags? The teacher will be checking. Can you find the Queens Hat? The Red House Glass Cone has teamed up with author Steve Antony to find hidden characters from his book all around the site on Thursday 2 & Friday 3 June. Find all the characters and you win a Platinum Jubilee Medal. £4 per child. Pre-booking is essential on 01384 812750. On Saturday 4 June, Black Country Brass will be performing from 12.30pm. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the declaration of National Nature Reserves in 1952. There are several nature reserves across the borough that offer exceptional flora and fauna at this time of year. It is an ideal opportunity to explore a little more of what is on your doorstep.
