As we prepare to celebrate the festive season, remember you can recycle more plastics this Christmas. We now collect plastic in the form of pots, tubs and food trays, as well as bottles, just pop them in your green recycling bag.
Please leave out black plastic as it has a carbon black pigment and cannot be picked up by the optical sorting technology.
You can also continue to recycle cardboard, paper, glass and tins but please clean and sort your waste into the correct container, before placing out on collection day.
Additional free recycling blue or green bags and black boxes can be ordered online.

Put your waste and recycling out on normal collection days this Christmas, as there are no service disruptions.
Your waste and recycling should be placed outside for collection by 6.15am but be aware that Christmas collections may be earlier or later than usual.
Please make sure your grey bin lid is shut and do not put out additional waste sacks as we can’t collect those.

Additional bulky waste can be collected via the council’s chargeable bulky waste collection service.
The household waste and recycling centre, located in Stourbridge, accepts many items including Christmas trees and unwanted electrical goods.
The site is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
You must book online in advance before visiting the site.
