Welcome from Helen
The launch of our new SEND Strategy in late September was a successful virtual event that brought together stakeholders, parents, carers and young people with SEND. Over 100 people attended the event on 30 September, but a recording of the event and the strategy itself are both available on our website for people who were unable to join us in September.

Department for Education Deep Dive Workshops
As you may be aware, we have fourteen areas of weakness that were identified in the 2019 SEND Local Area inspection and we are making good progress in delivering the actions and outcomes we committed to in our Written Statement of Action (WSoA) response.

On Thursday 30 September Dudley launched its new strategy at a virtual event. More than 100 attendees heard first-hand experiences from young people, parents and carers as well as inspiring presentations from guest speakers in Carrie Grant and Dave Heeley. The Inclusion Charter
Dudley’s Educational Psychology Service has developed an Inclusion Charter for the borough. The aim is that the Charter will give children, young people and parents confidence and trust in all educational settings. Read more about the charter here.
