Welcome to our latest SEND Improvement Programme bulletin.
I am pleased to announce Martyn Palfreyman has been successful in the appointment of the Head of Education Outcomes and Inclusion.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jeremy Keeble who has been covering this position since June 2020 for all his hard work and commitment to Dudley.

On 1st April 2021, the Dudley School Nursing Team transferred from Shropshire Community Health Care NHS Trust to Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust (DIHC).
|
DIHC, with our local partners, will share responsibility for improving the health and care outcomes for the population it serves.
|

During the week of the 15th March, mainstream and academy Head Teachers attended meetings with Education and SEND teams, to get to know the team and build relationships with case officers allocated to their schools.
|
The third set of SEND Network Continuous Professional Development Sessions took place virtually on Wednesday 17th March 2021with over 100 SENCOs and partner professionals in attendance.

Following the first National Lockdown, the Dudley’s Youth Service, carried out a survey to enable young people to voice their experiences during the pandemic.
|
|
Dudley Educational Psychology Service (EPS) has been sharing practice and tools for working remotely with CYP with SEND.
|
Dudley undertook a consultation exercise on the proposed SEND Needs Funding Matrix from the 14th January 2021 to the 21st February 2021.
|

Dudley’s Parent Carer Forum has relaunched as an independent parent carer forum run by Dudley parents and carers.
