Elections 2021 - polling cards on their way

Elections are due to take place on May 6.

Polling cards are set to go out next week for local, mayoral and PCC elections. Your card will tell you details of the election, your electoral ward and polling station, which may have changed this time.

You can still register to vote up until 19 April.

Register for a postal vote

You may prefer the convenience of a postal vote this year

You can still register for a postal vote even if you have received a polling card.

You have until 5pm on Tuesday 20 April to apply for a postal vote

You can find details of how to request a postal vote online

Forms need to be downloaded and returned by post ✉️✉️✉️

One form is needed for each person requiring a postal vote.

What to expect at your polling station

Elections are set to go ahead on 6 May and things may look a little different this year.

All polling stations will be covid secure and social distancing measures will be in place. You may need to queue before entering the polling station so that we can safely manage the number of people in and out.

Please wear a face mask unless you are exempt, sanitise your hands on entry and ideally bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot paper.

You do not need to bring your polling card with you on the day, all we need is your name and address. If you do bring your card, you will need to take it away with you.
