All councils have been asked to develop a Covid Outbreak plan in order to inform our population of how we intend to tackle the Covid situation locally.

As part of that plan we have been asked to develop local dashboards so that you can be kept up to date with the Covid situation in Dudley.

Get your flu jab

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Dudley have both had their flu jabs – and are urging borough residents to follow suit.

Up to 30 million people nationally will be offered the jab for free this year in the biggest flu vaccination programme to date.

The most vulnerable - including adults aged 65 and over, those with long-term health conditions and pregnant women - will be offered the flu vaccine first through their GP or via a midwife

New university for Dudley

Plans for a ‘university park’ have moved a step closer with the appointment of a Higher Education Institution to drive forward a multi-million pound development.

Worcester University has been appointed to lead on plans to build a ‘university centre’ at Castle Hill as part of Dudley Council’s Towns Fund plan.

The development of the university centre which will be located alongside the Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology and the very light rail innovation centre, is a key part of the councils’ strategy to develop a higher education campus at Castle Hill.

COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Grant

The grant is for food and essential supplies to support people who are struggling to afford food and other essentials due to financial hardship and/or hardship caused by COVID-19. This scheme is temporary.

The maximum amount you can be awarded is £300 and you must live in Dudley borough. Details in the link below
