Face masks compulsory in shops from 24 July

From Friday 24 July it will be mandatory to wear a face mask when shopping.

Black Country Day

Artists and photographers have been sharing their colourful creations as part of the Mayor of Dudley’s challenge to mark the Black Country Festival which is being celebrate differently this year due to the pandemic.

There's still time to submit a piece of Black Country themed art or photography You can share your celebrations with us online using the hashtag #BCfestivalonline

Video looks forward to the future

A new video proclaiming a bright future in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic was released on Black Country Day.

The video hails the strength and resilience of Black Country folk in coming together as a community to fight the virus.

Virtual composting

Green fingered residents are encouraged to down tools and log on to a virtual composting session this month.

The free live online tutorial is is led by Garden Organic via Zoom at 1pm on Thursday 30 July. The session runs until around 2.30pm, but that includes the Q&A element.
