Borough residents will soon be able to register the birth of their baby when Dudley Regsiter Office re-opens for pre-booked appointments from Monday 15 June.
Like all local authorities in England and Wales, Dudley Council suspended birth registrations at the start of lockdown under government instruction, to help combat the spread of Covid-19. However, from next week all newborns in the Dudley borough can be registered, using new safety measures.
To maintain health and safety all registrations will only take place at Priory Hall in Dudley.
Appointments must be booked in advance at www.dudley.gov.uk/residents/register-office/ Web bookings are preferred, but if this is not possible, appointments can be made by calling Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345.
Registration appointments will take place outside, through a kiosk window. No-one will be allowed entry into the building.
