Have a safe and happy VE Day bank holiday weekend
With the VE Day bank holiday upon us and sunny weather expected, remember to stay safe and practice social distancing if you're celebrating.
You can celebrate in the garden, toast neighbours across the street or have a virtual celebration with family and friends. Who says you have to be rubbing shoulders to share the love?
Bank holiday opening hours
Bin, green waste and recycling collections continue as normal on Friday 8 May
The tip re-opens from Monday, but in order to keep everyone safe and manage access in and around the site we're operating on an advancebooking only system. If you turn up without an appointment you will be turned away.
Find out more and how to book below. Please note Dudley Council Plus will be closed on the Bank Holiday Friday.
Park life
The sun may be out but you don't have to be.
If you do head to your local park for your daily exercise remember to stay safe and be respectful of other park users.
Safe shopping
If you have to go shopping, only buy what you need, use contactless payment if possible, stay 2m apart and wash your hand when you get home.
Food parcels for the vulnerable
A new food distribution hub for people who are vulnerable or in need has opened. To find out more or to register for support click the link below.
Show the love this IDAHOBIT Day
We are asking residents to mark International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) with a tribute of heart shaped hands.
A compilation of people’s photos of their hands, making a heart shape, will be shared on social media with the hashtag #LovefromDudley on 15 May.
We can't celebrate the day in person, but we can show our support on social media
