Doncaster sets out next steps in refreshed City Borough Strategy

Make a difference, work for your Local Council!
City of Doncaster Council provides many early career opportunities, from apprenticeships and work experience/volunteering opportunities to graduate placement schemes.
Hear from Ryan, a recent City of Doncaster Council apprentice, on his experience:
"I was 26 when I began my apprenticeship journey at the City of Doncaster Council. I used to think apprenticeships were only for school leavers or graduates, but after completing mine in software testing, I wish I’d taken the plunge sooner. No matter your age, it's never too late to start an apprenticeship or begin a new career doing something you're passionate about. Through the fantastic work environment and flexible working options, I've been able to develop a career that fits my life - not the other way around.”

Help us improve Food Support in your Community
We are working on a project, looking at different ways to help our communities access healthy and affordable food they need.
Ideas like, food vans, community food shops and easy pick-up points are some ways we can do this, but we want to hear your thoughts and ideas.
Food Access is more than just a shop nearby, it’s also about having the budget to buy food, the tools and skills to cook it and the transport to get it home.
Help us to understand your experience and how we can make improvements for our communities in Doncaster:
