Parkinson’s UK Physical Grants Programme to Reopen 10th March, 2025

The Parkinson’s UK Physical Activity Grants Programme supports activity providers, national governing bodies, Parkinson’s groups and branches, and sports and healthcare professional.

Grants of up to £3,000 will be available to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's.

Parkinson’s UK is hosting free webinars to cover the grants criteria and will take place on:

  • 3rd March, 2025 (5.30pm - 6.30pm)
  • 19th March, 2025 (9:30am -10:30am)
  • 8th April, 2025 (2pm - 3pm)

Registration is required and can be done via the funder's website.

The grants programme is expected to reopen for applications on 10th March 2025.

Physical Grants Programme Details

Government Launches £15m Food Surplus Fund for Charities 

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is offering grants of between £20,000 and £14.642 million to not-for-profit organisations for projects that take surplus food off farms and into the redistribution system with the aim of helping to fight hunger in communities.

Match funding of between 10% and 20% is required depending on the size of the organisation.

The funding can go towards purchasing new packaging and labelling equipment and vehicles to move goods from farms to a redistribution organisation, as well as new equipment, like fridges or freezers, to safely store food and ensure it lasts longer.  

The deadline for applications is 11.55am on 13th March, 2025.

Food Surplus Fund Details

Asda Foundation to Launch ‘Young Futures Fund'

The new £500,000 fund will provide grants of between £500 and £1,000 to grassroots community groups to help them deliver activities that improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 13 years to 21 years.

Not-for-profit groups and organisations who already have an existing service for young people within the 13-21 age group can apply.

The application window will be open for two weeks; however, it may close early if there is a high level of applications.

The application window closes at midday on 13th March, 2025.  

‘Young Futures Fund’ Details

McCarthy Stone Foundation’s Dementia Grants Programme

The Foundation is offering around 20 grants of up to £7,500 each to help with the project costs of running dementia clubs and memory cafes in areas of high deprivation affecting older people over the age of 65 years.

Community organisations, registered charities, exempt charities and other groups (including CICs limited by guarantee) can apply.

Applications will be accepted until 5pm on 14th March, 2025.

Dementia Grants Programme Details

Core Funding and Project Funding for Frontline Genetic Condition Specific Conditions

The Jeans for Genes Grant Programme has reopened for applications.

There are 2 funding strands designed to support the resilience of those small charities working closely with the genetic condition community.

Strand 1 - Core Cost Funding offering single year grants of up to £5,000 to support the organisation's running costs.

Strand 2 - Project Funding is offering project grants of up to £20,000 to deliver a defined set of activities and the costs involved in delivering those activities including staff costs and a percentage of overheads.

The deadline for applications is 14th March, 2025.

Jeans for Genes Programme Details

Jerwood Foundation Accepting Applications for Spring 2025 Funding Round

Jerwood Foundation is offering grants to UK-based organisations that focus on making art available for public benefit and promoting emerging talent in the arts.

Funding is available for a range of projects and activities that promote the arts for public benefit. 

In this round, proposed projects should start or be open to the public from 1st July, 2025.

The next deadline for applications is 5pm on 19th March, 2025. 

Jerwood Foundation Details

Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme Round 11 Open

Funding for Round 11 is as follows:

  • Main Fund offers grants of between £50,000 and £2 million.
  • Small Project Fund offers grants of between £20,000 and £49,999.

The grants can be used for capital or revenue funding and can provide up to 100% of the project cost.

Organisations that have not yet registered with the scheme must do so 10 working days before the relevant fund closes to allow time for eligibility checks to take place.

The deadline for applications to Round 11 is 5pm on 20th March, 2025.

Energy Redress Scheme Details

Carbon Emissions Reduction and Innovation Fund

The Energy Saving Trust is offering grants of between £20,000 and £1 million to not-for-profit groups for projects that empower householders to reduce their carbon emissions and engage positively with the transition to net zero and for the development of innovative products and services related to energy.

The Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (CERF) supports initiatives principally aimed at reducing the climate change impact associated with energy use, which relate to Ofgem’s regulated areas of energy generation, distribution, supply and use.

The Innovation Fund is aimed at projects that will develop innovative products or services to benefit households.

Organisations that have not yet registered with the scheme must do so 10 working days before the relevant fund closes to allow time for eligibility checks to take place.

The deadline for applications to Round 11 is 5pm on 20th March, 2025.

£2 Million Available for Community Energy Projects

Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme’s Just Transition Fund is now running a second round and making a total of £2 million available to charities and community energy groups to develop renewable energy projects that benefit those most in need.

The scheme aims to build the capacity of the community energy sector and deliver impactful renewable energy projects. It seeks to demonstrate how a just transition to net zero can benefit everyone.

Grants of between £20,000 and £250,000 are available for individual projects.

Organisations that have not yet registered with the scheme must do so 10 working days before the relevant fund closes to allow time for eligibility checks to take place.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 20th March, 2025.

Just Transition Fund Details

Funding Available for Policy Innovation Projects

Yorkshire Policy Innovation Partnership (YPIP has launched the Communities Innovating Yorkshire Fund. 

Two levels of funding are available:

  • Seedcorn funding of up to £10,000 for small or pilot projects for smaller grassroots initiatives.
  • Larger project funding of up to £50,000 to develop existing or more established ideas.

The following can apply:

  • Voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations or groups.
  • Local businesses.
  • Local authorities.
  • Public sector organisations.

Applicants must be based within the Mayoral Combined Authority areas of York and North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire or Hull and East Riding.

YPIP is holding a general information webinar on 4th March 2025 at 10am and will also run sessions for each theme. Applicants must register for the sessions via email.

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on 23rd March, 2025.

Communities Innovating Yorkshire Fund Details

Music for All Community Project Fund

Music for All is currently accepting applications for its first funding round of 2025.

Groups, schools, any form of educational establishment, community projects, charities, and organisations that are bringing music to their communities can apply.

In the current round, grants of up to £2,000 are available in the following areas:

  • Working with primary school-aged children.
  • Learning and cognitive challenges. 
  • Working with diverse communities from the Global Majority, in collaboration with Black Lives in Music.

The deadline for Round 1 applications is 11.59pm on 27th March, 2025.  

Music for All Community Project Fund Details

Postcode Neighbourhood Trust (North of England) to Open for Applications on 24 March, 2025 

The Postcode Neighbourhood Trust is supporting organisations across the North of England with unrestricted funding in 2025.

Depending on their not-for-profit legal structure, organisations can apply either for a grant of between £500 and £2,500 or between £500 and £25,000.

There will be three funding rounds in 2025:

  • Round 1 opens 24th March and closes 31st March, 2025.
  • Round 2 opens 24th June and closes 1st July, 2025.
  • Round 3:  dates to be confirmed later in 2025.

Application forms will be available on the Trust’s website when each funding round opens.

The first round will open at 9am on 24th March and close at midday on 31st March, 2025.

Postcode Neighbourhood Trust Details

Grants for Organisations to Transform Vocational Assessments

The Assessment Innovation Fund (AIF) is providing financial support for organisations implementing large-scale assessment projects in vocational training. The scheme seeks to support digital innovations that can be deployed at scale and demonstrate measurable impact.

Grants of up to £125,000 are available for projects that introduce assessment solutions reaching at least 1,000 learners.

Eligible applicants include UK-based training providers, awarding organisations, EdTech businesses and colleges.

Funding can be used for project-related costs, including staff time, equipment and technology development.

The deadline for applications is 10am on 24th March, 2025.

Assessment Innovation Fund Details

Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme Opens

The programme is intended for UK registered charities, local authorities, and housing association to support projects that improve the capacity of services in supported housing to be better able to help veterans with a range of needs.

Grants of up to £300,000 per organisation are available for projects being delivered over a period of up to nine months.

Grants can cover most costs associated with a project or activity including people’s time, costs of delivering work online or buying/hiring equipment.

The deadline for applications is midday on 31st March, 2025.

Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme Details

PRS Foundation Offers Funding for Music Creators 

Funding is available for UK-based songwriters and producers working in popular music genres to support career development and skills enhancement.

Grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 are available. The funding is intended to help experienced music creators at key stages in their careers by supporting activities such as songwriting, production, skills training and studio hire.

The deadline for applications is 6pm on 31st March, 2025.

Empowering Bereaved Military Families Programme Seeks Portfolio Lead

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is accepting expressions of interest from UK registered charities to its new funding opportunity.

The programme objective is to build a strong collaborative network to meet the needs of bereaved military families in the UK.

UK registered charities can apply for a single, portfolio, grant of up to £1.8 million to support a project starting in autumn/winter 2025 and delivered over a period of up to four years. 

The lead organisation will be responsible for building the portfolio, working in collaboration with interested organisations.

The deadline for expressions of interest is midday on 2nd April, 2025.

Empowering Bereaved Military Families Programme Details

Veolia Environmental Trust Accepting Applications for Second 2025 Funding Round

Constituted, not-for-profit organisations, local authorities, and environmental bodies enrolled with ENTRUST can apply for funding to support projects that make improvements to community facilities and the natural environment in communities located near qualifying Veolia sites.

The Veolia Environmental Trust is currently offering the following:

  • Community Grants between £10,000 and £75,000 for capital improvement/construction projects at a single site.
  • Habitat and Biodiversity Grants between £10,000 and £75,000 for projects resulting in structural improvements for a single habitat that will conserve, restore, and enhance threatened habitats and protect/increase biodiversity.

The next deadline for applications is midday on 3rd April, 2025.  

Veolia Environmental Trust Details

Schools Invited to Enter Energy Saving Competition

Schools educating children aged 5-11 can enter the Everyday Energy Competition, which encourages young people to promote energy saving habits in their communities..

The competition offers a £5,000 British Gas Positive Energy Grant to the first-place school, supporting sustainability and accessibility improvements. The winning design will also be used to create a banner for display at the school.

Additionally, 25 runner-up schools will each receive a £500 grant to support eco-clubs, eco-councils or other sustainability-focused educational initiatives.

The deadline for applications is 5.30pm on 25th April, 2025.

Energy Saving Competition Details

IT4Good Grants Programme Reopens for Second 2025 Funding Round

Grants of up to £15,000 are available or educational establishments and constituted not-for-profit organisations to support IT projects and activities.

The WCIT Charity will support activities within the themes of education, inclusion, IT for charities, and understanding of IT, such as the development and delivery of new services, solutions, training, apps, analytics, AI, robotics, or accessibility features/hardware.  

The deadline for consideration at the next committee meeting is 5pm on 7th May, 2025.

Suez Communities Fund Reopens for Second 2025 Funding Round

Suez Communities Trust is offering grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 for constituted not-for-profit groups to deliver projects that make improvements to local facilities, historic buildings and structures, sport and recreation facilities communities in qualifying SUEZ Recycling and Recovery sites.

There is a two-stage application process. Groups must first submit an online Expression of Interest before being invited to submit a full application.

The next deadline for applications is midnight on 14th May, 2025.

Suez Communities Fund Details

Kellogg’s School Breakfast Club Grants Programme Accepting Applications for 2025

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to schools to help fund breakfast clubs aimed at pupils between reception class and year 13 to ensure that those who need it most receive a morning meal.

Only one grant per school in each academic year is available.

Applications can be submitted at any time.
