Peter Robinson, Curator of Archaeology will explore this fascinating high status Roman bracelet and its closest parallels.
Our lunchtime spotlights are free and are a great way to do learn on your lunch break. No booking required.
World Book Day

Staff will be dressed as some of your favourite book characters. Pop into the children’s library dressed as your favourite character as have a go at our special world book day trail around the building.

In 1136 King Stephen gave the manor of Doncaster to the son and heir of the king of Scotland. In the present century, the idea has gained widespread currency that this long-ago gift means Doncaster is part of Scotland. How has this come about and can it be justified in any way? Join our Collections and Exhibitions Officer, Charles Kelham, to find out.
