Brushstrokes and Exposures

11 January – 22 February 2025

Brushstrokes and Exposures brings together paintings and mixed media artworks by Doncaster based artists Ian Davenport and Nicola Knott.

Ian and Nicola met at University Campus Doncaster whilst studying for a degree in Fine Arts & Crafts and became firm friends. After graduating in 2023 they have gone on to develop their respective art practice, Ian as a contemporary landscape artist working in oils and Nicola as a professional photographer and mixed media artist.

This exhibition presents new work, recording and expressing the natural world in and around Yorkshire, contrasting the expressive world of plein air oil painting verses the view through the camera lens.
