Recycle it right
Knowing which bin to use for your rubbish is crucial. By ensuring you use the blue, green, or black bins correctly, you could help save up to £300,000 annually. Every household in Doncaster should have received a letter or a yearly bin calendar detailing the correct disposal methods for various items.
If you’re not sure, check out our helpful A-Z of recycling and keep up the good work:

Doncaster residents and visitors are being asked to share their opinions and thoughts on the future of the city centre in a consultation called the ‘Big City Conversation’.
If you live or work in Doncaster, we want YOU to help us grow, shape and transform the city centre.
Take this 10 minute survey to have your say:
Doncaster’s Big City Conversation will run until the end of June.
Are you running an event or activity over the summer holidays?

We will be promoting these on our social media channels and email newsletters to residents shortly.
The European Championship will be kicking off on Friday, and while most people will be enjoying a month of football, others are already suffering or will become victims of domestic abuse. One in four women and one in six men experience domestic abuse.
The rise in incidents of domestic abuse during and after football matches is well documented. During the last European championships in 2020 reported rates of domestic violence increased as much as 38% if a national team lost and 23% when it won or if there was a draw with more issues going unreported.
The city of Doncaster council are reminding victims that they are not alone, help and support is available through the Doncaster Domestic Abuse Hub.
Alongside support for victims there is help if you are worried about some of your behaviours and would like to make changes before issues escalate into violence, help is available from Cranstoun www.cranstoun.org they can support you to be safe around your partner and children.
If you are experiencing domestic abuse or are concerned for someone you know then please visit www.doncaster.gov.uk/domesticabuse for more information and to ask for help.
If there is immediate danger ALWAYS call 999.
