Hello there,

Welcome to the latest edition of the Your Life Doncaster North newsletter!

Lee Golze

Hi , I’m Lee Golze, a member of Team North, which means that I work with a range of partners across the North of Doncaster to look after our communities, and prioritise what’s most important to our residents.

Our locality plan highlights a number of key areas to focus on, including common themes around community safety, and community events/ activities, the environment, health and well-being and positive activities for children and young people.

My day job, alongside working in the North, is also Assistant Director of Children and Young people, so when you told us that more activities for young people are important, this really resonated with me and please be assured I am keen to help this happen. We do already have lots of things happening in the North and this newsletter gives us a great opportunity to tell you about them.

I was born and raised in the North of Doncaster, and still live here today with my family so I know that there are some wonderful places and communities. I think we are blessed to have such strong communities, and I have seen on many occasions how proud people are to be from this part of the City, I include myself in that.

If you’d like to know  more about the 2023/2024 locality plan you can read the full document. You can also visit our locality plan webpage if you want to feedback on the plan or to take part in the latest locality survey.  I would also encourage you to tell us more about what you’d like to see in this newsletter and to share any good news stories with us by e mailing  localitiessupport@doncaster.gov.uk

Action taken to get recycling right in Highfields

This week our teams have been out and about in Highfields working to make sure that our rubbish is going to the right place! They removed 7 black sacks in total of non-recyclable waste from bins across Highfields.

It's another reminder for us to recycle right, you can find more information on which bins are used for what waste on the council website.

Which bin should I use?
