Armed Forces Day Celebrations 2022
The sun was shining over a brilliant turnout of residents at our Armed Forces Day celebrations in the city centre last Saturday.
Doncaster's past and present armed forces community gathered in Sir Nigel Gresley Square for a military parade through the centre, ending with a presentation of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medals to soldiers from the 219 Transport Squadron 150 Transport Regiment of the Royal Logistics Corp, presented by the Civic Mayor.
Celebrations then continued for the rest of the day with interactive and information stalls, exhibits, live music and entertainment in the Market Square and Wool Market.

Doncaster Council supports Zero Suicide Allicance training
Opening up and talking about suicide can be hard but it can also save lives.
Doncaster Council is supporting the Zero Suicide Alliance by encouraging residents to attend FREE special training sessions taking place in the city over the summer.
After losing three people close to her to suicide in the last 15 years, Doncaster community worker, Lynn Brookes, is working alongside our public health team to raise awareness of the sessions so others will attend.
Details of upcoming sessions can also be found on the link above.
