Great British Spring Clean 2021

Doncaster Council is supporting Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Great British Spring Clean’ initiative once again and YOU are invited.

We want you, your friends and family to join thousands of people nationwide help tackle litter in their neighbourhoods.

Head out to Doncaster’s streets and parks in socially distanced clean-ups from 28 May - 13 June 2021.

Doncaster Council is actively willing to help local residents, volunteer groups, businesses and schools in the fight against litter. This includes:

  • Providing free litter picking equipment - such as litter pickers, gloves, bags and hi-vis vests
  • Collecting excess waste - please ensure that this is correctly bagged and let us know in advance where this will be. Ideally a safe and accessible place
  • Collecting bulky items - if something is too big, we will move it if you tell us the location.

Covid guidance

To ensure that the campaign complies with current Government guidance in relation to Covid-19, the campaign has been amended slightly to ensure the health and safety of all participants. It is essential that you familiarise yourself – and your volunteer friends and family – with the Keep Britain Tidy clean up guidance in relation to coronavirus.
