Tree Review Consultation
We are keen to hear your views on how trees are managed and cared for in Doncaster.
Doncaster Council’s current Tree Policy and Tree Risk Management Plan for our Trees and Woodlands is being reviewed.
We are interested to know your thoughts on whether the Tree Policy is fit for purpose, in respect of:
- How we consult and make decisions on street and urban tree removal and replacement.
- How we value trees in relation to their benefits for the environment, and other ecological, social and economic values these trees might have.
By completing our consultation, you will help to shape the future of Tree Management in Doncaster.
The Tree Policy was written before the Declaration of a Climate & Biodiversity Emergency for Doncaster and so may not be aligned with our current environmental objectives. Therefore, we are initiating a review of the Tree Policy to ensure that it reflects Doncaster’s current priorities for tree management, environmental conservation, and local decision-making processes.
This consultation process will end on Sunday 31st January 2021.
