Our Strategic Plan for the next four years, setting out a vision to build “a positive future for Devon where everyone thrives”, has been approved by councillors.
The Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 has been developed with input from County Councillors, the Devon Youth Council and interim findings from the New Devon survey which has been running since July to ask people for their views on local authority services.
The plan has a clear focus on children and young people across all of its priorities and we will seek regular feedback from the Devon Youth Council.

 Plans for construction work on A382 improvements
A public information event about the upcoming A382 improvements near Newton Abbot will be held on Tuesday 9 September at Newton Abbot Town Council offices, Newton’s Place, from 2pm until 7pm.
The upgrade of Bishops Tawton roundabout in Barnstaple has been completed. The scheme has added extra lanes to the roundabout to increase its capacity, and pedestrian and cycle links have been improved with the installation of a signal-controlled crossing.
Stover Country Park will be taking part in this year’s Heritage Open Days with a series of events, including opening the doors to its recently restored Grade II listed Granite Gatehouse.
