Request for Access to SEND support
We apologise to report that we are ceasing the submission of ‘Requests for Access’ (RfA) for guidance and advice from both the Communication & Interaction Team (C&I) and the Social Emotional and Mental Health Team (SEMH). We are now unable to respond this term as all our available C&I consultation sessions and SEMH casework availability is now full, measured against the capacity we hold. Additionally, we will be moving to new locality and service delivery models into the new academic year, meaning a change in how we support schools moving forward.
If you feel you require specific support for C&I or SEMH needs, we ask you to initially refer to Devon’s Ordinarily Available Targeted Support Framework as your first port of call to support your graduated approach. This framework holds a lot of advice/recommendations that you will find beneficial.
If the needs you have identified for a CYP/cohort still require guidance/advice, you are welcome to book into a SEND Support Consultation or (specific for the North Devon locality only) a North Devon SEND and Inclusion Drop in. These conversations will support a holistic view of the CYP and provide advice and signposting through a multi-agency discussion.
For South, West, Central and East localities book via this link: SEND support consultations for schools. These are now full for this summer term, but bookings are available for the first half of the Autumn term.
For the North Devon locality, please book via this link: North Devon SEND and Inclusion Drop-ins FAQs. There remains good availability this summer term, and into the Autumn term, for your access to guidance/advice.
Thank you for your understanding.
