It's the Devon County Show this week and we're proud to have been awarded the Devon Agricultural Association's Silver Award in the 'Most Attractive Stand' category!
Our main (award-winning) stand is on Road 8, Stand 225. And, between that and our Farmwise stand on Road 9, we've loads of exciting and interesting exhibits this year for all ages.
So, pack your sun cream, water bottle and sunhat, and come and find us - we're here until the show ends tomorrow, Saturday 17 May.
We've found that good career advice, or meaningful conversations with young people about what they want to do once they've left school or college, isn't always consistent. So, we've developed a new tool to help bring quality career advice for pupils up to the same high standard across the county.
Twenty five schools in Devon were among the first in the country to offer free, daily breakfast clubs
The free breakfast clubs are available for half an hour before the start of the school day. It’s thought that they will support parents getting into work by enabling them to drop their children off half an hour earlier.
This month BIG FIX events are taking place in a Repair Café near you!
At least 100 repair cafés across the country are expected to take part in this year’s BIG FIX. From Alveston in Gloucestershire and Ashburton in Devon to Chorley in Lancashire and Oswestry and Borders in Powys, the BIG FIX is back.
Thousands of pupils will be moving from their primary schools to secondary schools this September, and as part of our county-wide outreach programme to help year six pupils with Special Educational Needs move to year seven, we're working with Special Partnership Trust.
The programme particularly focuses on working with schools to best support those with special educational needs so they can feel confident and ready to move onto the next phase in their education journey.
Last week, we proudly raised the LGBT+ Pride flag above County Hall, marking a moment of unity and support for the LGBT+ community.
