Guest speakers to include:
Jack Newton, Interim Deputy Director and Head of Inclusion and Learning and Kellie Knott, Deputy Director and SEND Strategic Director, will be introducing the new DCC Leadership Team and updating on phase 2 of the service redesign.
Andrew Brent, Senior Policy Officer, will provide an overview of the revised DCC Flexi Schooling policy.
John Laramy CBE - Principal and Chief Executive of Exeter College and member of the DfE Curriculum & Assessment Review Panel will share the aims, terms of reference and working principles for the review and the interim findings.
Jessica Trahar, Deputy Director, South West Regions Group and Siobhan Meredith – RISE Adviser will be providing important updates and more information about the RISE Teams.
Rebecca Harris, South West Regional Co-Ordinator, Royal SpringBoard will provide information about Broadening Educational Pathways.
Finally, along with the usual DSLS updates, Sarah McGinnis, Assistant Regional Director, Ofsted will update on the changes to the Education Inspection Framework due to be implemented in Autumn 2025.

This event is open and fully subsidised to all members of DSLS i.e. school leaders within Devon primary and secondary schools (one place per school plus additional for CEOs of MATs or Executive Headteachers in Federations). Additional staff members and other colleagues from Devon primary and secondary schools are welcome to attend at the subsidised rate of £50 + vat per delegate. Other non DSLS schools or other organisations will be charged at the rate of £100 + plus vat per delegate.
