Assessment Guidance for 2024-2025

Important Assessment Dates

The DfE website has details of the assessment dates for this academic year but in summary: Phonics screening check week is 9 – 13 June 2025 Multiplication tables check 2 week window is 2 – 13 June 2025 KS2 test administration is to be held from 12 – 15 May 2025 We are also able to share this year's data collection deadline dates: EYFSP to be confirmed (we are awaiting the publication of the 2025 Early Years foundation Stage Profile Handbook, which is due to be published at the end of November at the earliest) Phonics screening check results to us by 23 June 2025 KS2 teacher assessments to the DfE via the Primary Assessment Gateway by 27 June 2025

We collate all DfE guidance links on our website and so far the following have been updated for the academic year 2024 – 2025:

KS2 Moderation

As per the KS2 ARA all schools receiving a KS2 moderation visit can be informed from 16 May 2025. Please save the date of the Tuesday 20th May 2025 as all schools informed of a KS2 moderation visit will also be invited to a moderation briefing.

Assessment Training

The KS2 assessment training for year 6 will have one event this term with an alternative date in January. All details can be found on the Devon Education Services training website.

Academies and Free Schools

It is that time of the year again. We emailed all academies and free schools with our moderation and monitoring offer for this academic year. Our email contains a survey link to inform us of your LA of choice for moderation and monitoring purposes. Please complete the survey by 16 of December 2024. If you would like to be emailed directly, please get in touch schooldataassessment@devon.gov.uk so we can send you a copy.

Perspective Lite

If your school has a new headteacher you might need to get in touch with us to have your main school Perspective Lite account updated. All we need is your new headteacher’s name and email address. A thank you to all those who have already been in touch this term. Remember that in school you can set up other users and decide on their permissions.
