New research explores disabled teenage girls' attitudes towards sport and exercise. Access Sport recently released its Breaking Barriers report, addressing the obstacles preventing disabled teenage girls from taking part in sport and physical activity.
The research-backed report highlights that inactivity is contributing to disabled teenage girls experiencing mental health issues, including being less happy and more anxious.
Alongside the findings, the charity has also developed a toolkit and a video to provide practical guidance and insight for educators, community sport, and physical activity providers about engaging disabled teenage girls.
