This week’s issue contains a link to a Leadership Survey Devon County Council is conducting and we want to hear from you. Please take ten minutes to complete the short survey which help inform our planning for forthcoming Care Quality Commission inspection next year.
We do our best to keep the content and structure of our PEN website up-to-date in these fast-changing times and your suggestions on how to improve the website are always welcome.
Countywide Strategic Forum cancelled in December
Based on feedback we have taken the decision to cancel the County Wide Strategic Forum PEN on 4th December. A new date will be arranged for the start of 2024, if you want to contribute to the agenda please email social care business relations mailbox socialcarebusinessrelations-mailbox@devon.gov.uk The sector forums will continue as planned.
Please complete our short DCC Leadership Survey
Earlier this year, in preparation for our Peer Challenge, Devon County Council conducted and published a Leadership Survey that asked a series of questions about Adult Social Care Leadership.
We asked questions to all IASC staff, independent care providers, our Members, and the DCC Senior Leadership Team.
As we continue our preparation for the Care Quality Commission Inspection of Care Act duties, we know that Leadership is one of the four themes that the CQC will be focusing on. So, as a leadership team we must demonstrate an understanding of how our leadership is experienced, whether that be positive or whether there are areas we need to collectively do differently.
Repeating the Leadership Survey helps us to track and understand this, and identify any action we may need to take. And also demonstrate any progress as a result of actions following previous surveys.
Our second Leadership Survey is now live, and will run until the 8 December. We will again published the outcome of the survey and chart progress or otherwise from the initial survey we ran.
The survey should take you no-longer than 10 mins to complete, so please do try and find the time to response. The more people that do, the more meaningful the results.
