School Funding Arrangements 2024-25 - IMPORTANT UPDATE - FIGURES HAVE CHANGED

Important Update from Karlien Bond - Senior Accountant (School), DCC

The Department for Education published the schools NFF for 2024 to 2025 in July. However, the Department uncovered an error made by DfE officials during the initial calculations of the NFF.

For Devon this means that we now £5 million less than initially advised. New reduced funding factor rates have been published by the DfE to align with this allocation reduction, and almost every school in Devon will see a reduction as a result.

We received this update around 5pm on Friday 6^th October and have been working hard to integrate these changes and get an update out to schools as soon as possible.

We have updated the consultation documents in light of this new information. Where we have updated figures, we have also provided the original figures.

Appendix 1 - 2024-25 Financial Modelling will be updated overnight to be new version, but the meantime please find the new version here: Appendix 1 - 2024-25 Financial Modelling Revised.xlsx. A tab showing the ESFA Funding Change Impact has been added.

We are extending the consultation until Sunday 22^nd October. If you want to submit a revised consultation response, we will use your most recent response only.
