Our Assistant Director of Finance, Esther Thorpe, is delighted to announce we have reached a milestone in our ongoing Future Finance Project, which will see Devon County Council replace and upgrade the current finance system; FINEST.
After a rigorous selection process and the completion of sufficient due diligence, the contract for the replacement finance system has been awarded.

Following the Cabinet meeting from earlier this month, read the latest updates about the re-affirmation of our 'Best Place' strategy, our corporate plan for the next 12 months, and the work from our Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team about bringing together people from across our organisation to talk about an inclusive future.

We want to better understand how people in Devon see issues around family relationships, domestic abuse, violence, and how these impact their daily lives.
We want to hear about how you felt and your own impressions on whether there is the right support out there for people stuck in an unhealthy relationship, where things have not always worked out, or if more can be done to make them feel safer.
Every year we send out at least one childcare survey to parents living in Devon. Here is this year’s Parents Childcare Survey, please complete it yourself if you are a parent of a child or young person.
Whether you currently use childcare or not, your voice counts. The answers you give in this short survey will help our Early Years and Childcare Service to plan and make sure that there is enough childcare available in Devon.
Take part in the survey today.
The survey is open until Sunday 10 September.
To achieve a good representative response please also share it with your friends and your family, and the families that you work with. Find out how you can help the Early Years and Childcare Service.
