Attention all Secondary SEND staff - Have your say!
Following on from discussions with some secondary SENCos, and recognising the increasing number of pupils with SEND in secondary schools across Devon and the challenges this presents, the LA is considering holding a specific Secondary SEND forum next term.
The idea is to bring together as many Secondary SENCos, assistant SENCos or SEND leads as possible to discuss common themes and concerns and, more importantly, share ideas, solutions and good practice.
This forum would be different to the SEND network meetings, which provide updates and information from Devon SEND teams and other professionals. This forum would be facilitated by the LA, with an overarching theme for the session, and would be an opportunity for you to bring challenges and concerns as well as work together in a solution focused way to support each other with ideas that can be taken back into settings.
