Parent Carer Forum Devon (PCFD) has been asked to run the baseline survey this May, and then two monitoring surveys in September and in January 2024. This will ensure that family experience is central to tracking progress and highlighting where there are problems. |

PCFD have launched a short survey today with questions directly linking to the Key Performance Indicators in the SEND Improvement Plan. So what families say now, will set a baseline and help set targets for improvement.
The survey findings will be key evidence for the Department for Education when monitoring the SEND Improvement Plan. Completing this survey will help give a clear picture of what life is like for SEND families in Devon.
The survey will close on Sunday 28 May.
You can learn more about how the PCFD are running the survey on their website.
We are a group of Neurodiverse young people and young people with SEND. Our group is called Impacts and it campaigns for positive change. We have been talking about improving SEND services for children and young people in Devon. People who work in SEND services have put together a plan (the improvement plan) on how they can make these services better, because they aren’t supporting young people well enough.
They need to hear from young people about your experiences so they have a starting point, to measure whether the improvement plan is making things better. We have worked with the participation team to put together this survey to do that.
We know that not everyone can answer an online survey, or wants to share their experiences that way, so Devon County Council's participation team are offering other ways to tell us what you think. Please contact amy.bickford@devon.gov.uk if you would like to talk about this.
