Wild About Devon, a Devon Local Nature Partnership initiative focused on communities, is hosting an awards ceremony this autumn. This event will celebrate the amazing work communities, parish and town councils, individuals, and schools are doing across our county to tackle the ecological emergency.
If you would like to nominate someone or a group, or even yourself, then please see the Wild About Devon Awards webpage to find out more and submit a nomination by 31 August 2023.
Communities can also apply for the Wild About Devon grant scheme that Devon Communities Together has just launched. Find out more on the Wildlife Grant Scheme page. Spread the word in your communities!

We are currently reviewing the accessibility of our estate and want to hear your views, particularly if you have a disability. Whether it’s getting around, using equipment, getting information, or attitudes that create barriers, we want you to tell us what we can do better.
We've also created a new Ability in the Workplace network for staff with a disability, health condition or other sensory or accessibility needs.
Read more about why we are conducting the review, and the new network.
Wednesday 22 March marked the start of the holy month of Ramadan for the Muslim members of our community. Our colleague Mohamed Kanani explains what Ramadan means to him on Inside Devon.
Ahead of Ramadan we opened our new Prayer and Contemplation space in County Hall. This is about providing a space that will feel light, inclusive and welcoming for people of all religions and of none.
Read about the new prayer and contemplation space, and Mohamed's thoughts on Ramadan.
